In order to continue supplying our customers with state-of-the-art vessels, Neptune’s Research & Development team works on a wide range of projects to create future solutions and answers. These solutions address production improvements, multiple fuel futures, and sustainability challenges. To optimise results, Neptune cooperates with knowledge centres, its supply chain, and fellow shipyards. We prefer to work with dedicated, ring-fenced and targeted research groups rather than broad, general research teams. This approach has enabled us to create first-use solutions in LNG, hydrogen, methanol, and active power management, providing significant fuel savings for our customers.
Design Assistance
Support is also provided for current designs and orders. With the use of CFD and FEM, designs are optimised for weight, strength, and performance. We also analyse vessel utilisation data and simulate alternative applications or optimisation opportunities. Our common goal is to deliver the best product for the customer, now and in the future.
